I went to my pdoc on Wednesday and he upped my Lamictal. By Friday I was feeling much better. Spent the weekend in Massachusetts and Rhode Island enjoying the ocean and visiting with my wife's family. Had a great time especially considering I thought I would have to stay home because I was so manic. The only bad side is that my short spurt of avid housecleaning seems to be over.

Still feeling great. Got a little of my mania back so the house is getting claimed and the shopping is getting done again LOL. I think the trick was that I stayed on 500 mg of Depakote well my Lamictal was up to 200 mg. I hope to get off of Depakote totally but hope I my Lamictal does not have to go up too high. That makes you hit the\" donut hole\" in prescription coverage before the end of the year in costs a lot of money that I don\'t have.

I seem to be so motivated one day and so down the next. I wouldn\'t call it depression, it\'s more like exhausted and worried. I think I\'m invincible one day and then probably small aches and pains make me wonder if I have something seriously physically wrong with me. The weight gain from Depakote in my sedentary lifestyle certainly hasn\'t helped. I just find it so hard to get motivated to go out and exercise by myself. I also worry that because I have been so unhealthy recently that if I went out and started exercising strenuously I would die of a heart attack even though none of my tests show any problem in that area. I never thought I was a rapid cycler maybe I am. My wife has been after me to start journaling so that I can get a baseline and I hope to keep this up as this is easier for me to do while I\'m reading all of the posts.

You went to my BELOVED RHODE ISLAND!!! Where do you go? Was the weather nice? I haven\'t been in 7 years, I miss it terribly. Maybe this summer, if it rains dollar bills, I\'ll get to go!
You have a great day BiPolar Bear Pete!
