Day 14
Two weeks since I started my herbal "therapy" and I'm feeling a bit discouraged! I do feel that the herbal stuff is helping my intestinal tract immensely and my anxiety and nerves. However, my acid reflux is only starting to get under control by taking Zantac. The acid taste in my mouth has subsided (except when I leaned over today and then it went away). At least that's what I'm telling myself. It couldn't have been from the few bites of mashed potatoes I ate before that! The post nasal drip is clearing up and my throat is feeling better. Of course I am hardly eating anything, so who knows?
Yesterday for the first time in weeks I had little stabbing pains in my stomach from gastritis. That was right after I got really mad. I think there's a connection because I haven't let myself get angry for a long while, it's just not worth it. But, I guess because my stomach had been feeling better, I thought it was a license to allow myself some stress. WRONG! Fortunately, I haven't felt that pain in the past 24 hours so my OCD isn't kicking into gear worrying about it. I know I had a stomach xray a month ago and I guess if my stomach were going to rip open they would have seen something, but that doesn't stop my mind from imagining all sorts of drama.
We press on. This is a struggle, but I truly believe that "all things work together for those who love God and are called according to His purposes for them".

Replies
Oh yeah, and I\'m not on the Koufman induction diet. I blew it the first day by eating avocados which are not on the list. I can\'t believe it. I have to eat an avocado a day to keep the hunger away!
