Well, I am completely wiped out. Got to the hospital today at 6:00 and Mom's surgery was scheduled at 7:30 but they took her back closer to 8. I thought it would be 3 hours, the surgeon didn't come out until almost 5 hours. I hate that!! But he said all was well! I had to wait for almost 3 more hours while she was in recovery. Ends up, they had to give her a pint of blood while she was in there. Anyway, finally got upstairs in a room and she was pretty drugged up and they gave her one of those lovely buttons that medicates you when you're in pain and she told me to go home.I felt dizzy in her hospital room and had to sit down. I did not like that. I made the calls to friends and family and just ate my second bowl of egg drop soup and I think I am going to crash!I have to work tomorrow but will head over there to check on her. Doctor says he thinks she will be out on Thursday but I am really hoping for Friday so that she is under nurse care an extra day.Putting me and baby to bed! Hope you all have had a good Presidents Day!
