I'm back!
I've been gone for a while, and just came back in June 2013. Just as I was getting back into things, I ended up back in the hospital for another heart stent. I failed two stress tests, before the new stent was put in, and the ABI showed I have Peripheral Vascular Disease! The Illiac, in both legs, and my abdominal aorta have blockages. All in all, my Cardiologist found five new blockages that will need to be dealt with in the very near future. He said that he needs to do bypass on my legs and abdominal aorta, and will have to do heart bypass within the next few months because the last "old stent" is 30% closed and he can't re-stent anymore.
In July 2013, I had to have another heart stent. My Cardiologist is hoping the new stent holds but it appears that my body is rejecting the stents almost as fast as he's putting them in. He's trying to do everything he can, first, to keep me from having the surgeries because he's afraid I won't survive them. He said he's afraid I'd bleed to death and that my lungs will not be able to hand the surgery. Geeze!! Can I not catch a break here?
Regardless of what's going on, I'm feeling fairly good. Not giving up and certainly not going to let it stop me from doing the things I want to do.
