My car was repaired and the bill came for the same amount as my unexpected unemployment check, since I'm working.  Apparently my benefits are greater than my earnings.  The check was for less than a dollar more than the repair bill. A "God Shot". I went to a meeting and talked to a nice biker guy who likes me and seems sweet despite the biker exterior, different for me.  A mutual friend told me he likes me and asked her about me.  She's like, what is this, high school?  But I blushed.  We don't come to AA with emotional maturity, for sure. Another guy at the meeting who seems to like me, too gave me the nicest lingering hug yesterday.  I hadn't seen him in a few weeks.  It is just nice to connect with people. I got stuck on YouTube.  J who I haven't talked to in a few weeks got me thinking since said he was using it a lot.  I got a revival of interest in music I haven't enjoyed in ages, and it was a huge part of my life.  I've been pulling out old music and bought some and been reading biographies.   Today I got an email for an invitation for a book signing and after party for the book of a man of one of my favorite bands who broke up in the early 70s and reformed weeks before his death 4 years ago, a dream come true for him.  An old friend gave him a computer and encouraged him to write the book, and his wife got it published and will be reading from it.  I don't know how I got invited other than from the college radio station where I volunteer, since it was from a different email than my friend has.  It's too eerie but thrilling, I get to go in 2 weeks and I'm dumbfounded.  It is such a coincidence since I was playing his stuff last night.  A documentary on him is called New York Doll.  I've been listening to the stuff by another deceased member of the band kind of fanatically this weekend so it's really odd, but I feel connected.  Synchronicity is so cool. I called to RSVP.  It sounded so unreal!  It could be really fun to go into the city and the afterparty is at a magical place to me.
