I went to a cool music festival yesterday and I'm really glad I went.  Even though it was sold out I knew I'd find someone w/ a ticket.  I walked around all day and stayed sober, and I got to see Paul McCartney, Morrissey, Leonard Cohen, Black Keys, among others.  I am feeling really down today.  There was so much pot smoke in the air yesterday, everywhere.  Even though I made attempts to not inhale near it, I smelled pot in my car today!  It was that strong it must have gotten on me and rubbed off, and I have "pot radar" indented in my brain so that was just weird. I guess I'm dealing with so many losses. I heard from the sponsee I didn't think it was going to work out with and from her message she said she understood what I explained to her, and that she'd see me around.  I'd said last time, that I thought I'd be a "half assed" sponsor and I didn't talk to my own sponsor a lot or see her regularly, and I guess this girl decided I wasn't for her.  I am relieved but it still pissed me off because I realize I felt misunderstood, and I didn't think she was forthcoming, and ultimately I am a self centered alcoholic addict and I tend to forget people don't revolve their priorities or values around me. I am reading "Eat Pray Love" which is a nice distraction.  I am taking parents to the airport tomorrow and they'll be gone 2 weeks.  I know being at home with them more can be extremely challenging.  I did get to make Greek food with dad this week which was fun. I haven't been to the gym in a week which is not good, but have been walking and doing regular yoga.

I bet the music festival was cool! I\'ve never seen Leonard Cohen live. I\'m so glad you\'ve advanced so much in your goals, you\'ll accomplish what you want pretty soon. I\'ve got the impression you\'re more organized, hardworking and generous than you think you are - and I\'m not saying it to cheer you up: I mean it. =)

Music festival sounds like it was fun. Enjoy your time at home alone. I too find time at home with my mom challenging but sometimes we have fun together which is nice. Keep going with the walking and yoga-is good for the body, mind and soul. :0)
