I enjoyed the laughter with R today.  This could definitely be a codependent relationship if I am not careful. I feel sort of idiotic for having judged my sis for taking in a man out of prison, who she loved as a teen.  I am in a similar boat with some of the caretaking I am taking on of a newcomer in the midst of a lot of wreckage. Part of me thinks of being there to help the newcomer is being of service and giving back what God's grace has given me, resources, time and love to share.  It's just having a boundary I suppose, and also not expecting any change in him in return - that's where the codependency comes in - am I helping someone who is getting better?  That can be hard to decipher. Sigh. Today I missed my women's meeting, being slow in getting going, then skipped getting started on baking for tomorrow's work bake sale and or a meeting, to give him a much needed ride for some legal stuff.  I'm like no, I'm not going in the courthouse with you, I'll meet you outside when he's done.  There comes a point when no is a good thing. Anyway I really need to do some journaling about this. Tomorrow is the last day to decide if I'm taking the trip to the convention, which I could afford, which would be lovely to have a 3 day getaway vacation.  Do I want to go?  I need to journal about this, too. Work is a little insane when I forget who is in charge (God) and continue to expect the unexpected - when I expect things to go "as planned" then I'm left disappointed - if I'm open to flakiness from other teachers who neglect appointments to come in here, I get a little peeved. Thanks :)
