I've had an exceptional day.  I don't know.  These crushes I guess leave me a little "high" since I have untreated love addiction. I went and told the newcomer at the AA club west of me that I wanted to talk to him more and that he was new, an I've been around.  I don't want to be a 13th stepper and pick up a newcomer, anyway I felt drawn to him.  I returned today and he thanked me for telling him that, I guess he felt really rejected after offering I could call him and I said maybe some other time as I ran out the door.  I told him I'm real shy and he said so is he.  So I went up and said he could have my #. Oh my.  He is probably going into a VA treatment program and he doesn't know the details, he said it may be a year!  So I was glad to return and sort of sent things straight.  We got to know eachother a little and laughed.  I am going to go take myself to do karaoke there tonight, which is fun and something I've enjoyed only twice in my life.  It turns out his sponsor is a guy who I have a fondness for, I have many male aquaintances at my meeting I absolutely love who are very respectful.  He also said he'd hang out there tonight to hang around me, and I may not see him again for a long time. So I'm having feelings and sad he may be away but primary AA is about not interfering with my or another's recovery. I made an amends today to my friend I had my last drink with nearly 4 years ago, w/out even telling him about my sobriety.  I've been seeing him weekly lately at my volunteer work.  It felt good to swallow my pride and be humble and to admit to something very hard.  He was gracious and I think appreciated that I read him my letter. I am proud of myself for doing it as suggested by my sponsor, doing it thoroughly.  Thank God. I need to cross people off my amends list. So the man to the east of me who I have a crush at in AA, he can be a little awnry.  So he said I don't like anybody anyway I said people like you and it a low voice he said "I like you too.  To much.  That's why I'm here." and big smile.  I said "Thanks" and had a hard time focusing the rest of the meeting. We sit next to eachother, he the secretary and me the treasurer.  The first time I saw him I automatically liked him and he had 6 months of sobriety, and I remember thinking that is so long to wait (suggested to not get into a relationship until you have a year of sobriety). To think he's coming up on 2 years in a few months!  So anyway I guess I didn't see that coming but that confirmation, I get high off that stuff man.  I was a dancer for so long and I lived on that energy, it is an addiction. It still feels good.  He probably has a girlfriend which is why he said it was "too much" :) Last night after a hug from this new guy I was like, wow, he's in great shape. I used to be in better shape.  I was at the gym doing my jacuzzi routine and thought, instead of complaining that I'm not in as good of shape as previously, DO something about it (what a concept to a procastinator like me) so I SWAM.  And I did it today, too.  It feels good and will surely reduce my stress tremendously, even if only for a few minutes. Well.  So a few of us were talking about 13th stepping and last night I heard the AA speaker say "The odds are good [of meeting someone in AA] and the goods are odd."  Funny. I got to meet my sis's new guy.  Mom is having us do plumbing while Dad is out of town, who would not approve, though is aware of the situation.  I don't like being part of that secret as I told mom. I feel good. I went to two meetings last night and 3 today, which is good for me after a work week without any. I appreciate them.
