My b-day was Monday. I had bought a bouquet of stargazer lily's which smell wonderful, and some chocolate cake. I worked that day and didn't mention it. I did hear from a few friends and my sis, and my parents took me to a restaurant of my choice where I'd been taken since I was a child. It was nice. They had margaritas and I had a virgin strawberry one. Went home and watched TV with mom, which I enjoyed, and opened a gift from her. It was one of the few times in my life, if ever, that dad offered to do something for my b-day. He doesn't usually. Happy New YearIt's nice to have some invites to a couple parties and an AA dance, but I tend to stay home for holidays as I don't like to be on the roads with drunk drivers. Anyway, a night in bed sounds nice. I guess I'm becoming a bit of an old lady. I'm enjoying my job as admin assist of a college radio station where I volunteer. I love my boss. She even asked if I could feed her cats this weekend and she offered to reimburse me for my time. It feels good to be trusted and valued and helpful. I thought of how I'd made good changes this year.
