Thank God. I have this beautiful wooden God Box a friend gave me. I put my worries on paper and in there - and feel some relief this morning. I am actually excited, I get to sub for this English class, and realize how I AM a writer - I've been journaling nearly daily for almost 30 years, so I definitely have some passion about writing I can share to the students. The teacher is great and sent all the lesson plans for the day. I'll be assisting with her class and I am excited now, previously having some dread. I mean I don't know if the bosses will move me - asking me to do a math independent study, not knowing my schedule. Frustrating. Here I was fantasizing about quitting because the bosses seem to throw a wrench in the plans or just don't get the big picture sometime as they try to rearrange schedules and make stuff work. Hang in there. I am excited, I got the students involved early in the first week of psych class, as they start presentations today on a subject in the book. I thought this would be a good way to spend some of our class time. I am seeing how important it is to TRULY apply the knowledge we learn in order for them to "get it" and for it to "stick". Plan for today is counseling, a noon meeting, teach the two classes, and they offered me a third class to sub today, but I said NO - besides it is not legal for them to work me without a break after 5 hours - though I am anticipating they may try to squeeze me in, anyway :) God's will not mine be done. I heard a friend's memorial is next Friday. I am so so so grateful it doesn't interfere with work and I'll be able to go. As for tomorrow, there is an optional meeting to hear a motivational speaker. Sounds like a good way to make some extra money, however I may take the day off - we'll see!
