I absolutely isolated Sunday.  I went to gym today and the jacuzzi routine worked wonders for me and my attitude.  So did new faculty orientation today - to get out of the "stuff" in my head and gain some instructor skills :) I am a bit frustrated as filling in for a teacher who has flaked on providing the quiz - oh well, my back up is just that and not greatest, but it is better than nothing.  Saturday night I told Mr New I am feeling vulnerable and needing girlfriends and not wanting to get attached to another man.  Today I apologized for saying anything unkind that night and thanked him for all he said - he values our friendship and if nothing or something comes from it, either are fine.  He is concerned of my wellbeing.  I said no to our weekend walk - it may have actually helped me as I am craving that physical hike. I truly missed it. Dealing with a new potential sponsee who seems to be flaking and realizing her world is just as dysfunctional as her alcoholism - trying not to control or change here, just seeing in my own vulnerabilty and need for friendships and our history as old school friends, it is tough to watch and feel helpless over. I do reach out to a couple women and don't get much response, and feel frustrated.  I need to keep trying.  If it weren't for my male friendships I would truly be so isolated.

Soon good girlfriends will appear in your life. You\'ll see. Now that you have your mind on it, they will enter your life at the right time. ***hugs***
