Little frustrations... that week before my period I need extra self care so I am content and calm. I am going to meetings every day the last 2 or so weeks, progress for me from a few months of less meetings after avoiding that place where I used to go w/ my ex (even though as far as he said he goes to different meetings, too). I notice how important it is for me to read helpful or recovery literature especially when I feel like I am about to "vent". I am learning how much privacy and quiet time I need and when I don't get this or when I encounter people I "judge" as disrespectful I am more likely to "vent". So I need some tools - something helpful to read. And to make sure I am on top of my self care. For me I am learning I need not skimp on those things that bring me contentment, on a daily basis I need#1 meeting - it helps me get out of my own head and learn and share and sometimes be social#2 yoga - I tend to do this at night#3 walk (I like to walk the doggie but long walks alone are great, too)#4 the jacuzzi routine I do at the gym really helps me feel calm and serene. I use jacuzzi, sauna, cold dip, pool and steam room. I need to do this about every other day#5 eating right - this should be on top along with#6 sleeping right - I require a lot of sleep usuallyIt is hard to be apart from ex. It feels good to have peace with this it is still a disappointment, the whole thing. It's like, I am not the person I was when I was willing to let him treat me however and just want to keep him, today I am willing to let him go. I wanted to make it work for so long, to keep what was good, or maybe out of dependency needs. Anyway I am glad I haven't seen him in nearly 2 months, it makes all the drama he's in less a part of my world, if I let it. Telling my counselor this week about the developments of his in the last 2 weeks was like - talk about drama! And what is scary is I am not even part of his deceitful world, and all it includes, tell this person that and that person this, it is nothing short of insanity. I have compassion for him and continue to keep him in prayer, I am just extricating my involvement (finally and once again).
