One day at a time

I went to the neurologist after my steroid treatment which was due to numbness in my arms, hands, and shoulders. She took me out of work for another week to get through the treatment and to let my body heal. So I am taking life one day at a time. Trying to relax as much as possible to let my mind and body heal. As anyone with MS knows it is more than just a physical condition but also a psychological one as well. I have been listening to new age music which really seems to calm me. Trying to stop taking the anxiety medication that I am on but still feel it is too soon. I hate being dependent on the medication but I am at a time in my life where I can use any little boost that I can. I will get through all this and will come out ok I am certain of it. Just trying to make it through till then with as little stress as possible. I have been reading a lot as well, nothing work related. Something I enjoy reading which is military history. I do little things around the house but nothing major as I get very anxious and nervous the more I do. I feel I have to take things at a pace in which I can be successful. I need small wins.
I hope all at DS are having a better day and are able to find something to smile about. I try and think of one good thing a day to help me. I know my thought of today is my wonderful wife, she is not only my wife she is my best friend. She makes me feel alive even when I am at my lowest of lows.
