I work at the salvation army, Its the best job I have ever had. I love working with people and talking to them and helping them to not feel ashamed for needing help. Well the other day a family came in and got a bunch of toys for their kids for easter and the Mom was saying she needed base ball cleets for her son. I told her I had a pair of Bruces and if I could find them I would give them to her. I found them,they were right where they have been since he died. When I saw them and saw his #9 on them and I couldnt bear to part with them. My problem is I feel bad because I lied to her and told her I found them and they were a mess. She doesnt know Bruce has died and I didnt want to get into it with her. She is just a customer that came in to look for some cleets for her son because she cant afford to buy new. I feel bad because I have a perfectly good pair that I cant let go of. Any suggestions would help, Although I'm still not sure I can give them up.Thanks in advance, Lori

I would not give them up, i can\'t give up most of my husbands clothes. he loved the joke nerdy shirts and wore them daily. Don\'t give them up. they mean something to you and that is all that matters.
Some things we never give up, but when we do it is our choice. I gave away most of my husbands things because I felt I had to let go. You will know when that time is right for you. Linda
It\'s Ok if you couldn\'t give them away. It\'s not the right time for you. They say we will know when we are ready. I know I am still not ready to get rid of anything that belonged to my Husband. It\'s been almost 2 & half years & All of his things are still where he left them. I just can\'t let go, can\'t say goodbye....Hugs going your way...Stella
