It was 9 yrs yesterday for my moms passing. I miss her and wish that she didnt miss all the things that happened over the years. She did get to meet Bruce, but she was sick when we started dating so she didnt get to know him. It was hard to bring him around when she was not feeling well and I wanted to be there for her so Bruce and I took things slow back then. I was a single Mom and living with my mother when I met Bruce and she wanted nothing more than for me to meet someone(better than the ex-hubby) and have my own home. So when we bought our house it was full of mixed emotions. I was 39yrs old and finally getting my dream come true. And I wanted my Mom too see it. I know people say Oh she sees it. And she's so happy for you. But we all on here know or at least its the way I feel anyway that those words are so empty. Its not the same as having them physically here. Now my daughters going be getting married and she and Bruce are going to miss it and lucky me gets to spend that day with the ex. yahoo. I know sometimes I feel comfort knowing my mom and Bruce are still with me,but I want them back. I also know that the pain has subsided alot for my Mom and that gives me hope that that will happen with Bruce too.

You know I know what you mean..When people say they are still with you, it is not a comfort for me....I really don\'t think they are~~for me they have vanished from this earth...I pray in Heaven, where there is no sadness...but they are not here...........Never will be again....except in my memories..I am starting to think the pain stays..just gets easier to bear with time.I hope and pray you are having a better day...Love ya, Glenda
I understand my friend. Jim and I were together since we were 15, married at 18 and had a little girl. Of course, my MOM was not thrilled at what I had done with my life, but was there for us. I know she NEVER thought we would make it, we were just two babies WITH a baby. She died when our daughter was two of breast cancer. I soo thoughout the years wanted her here to SEE that we did make it, that we survived, worked hard, sacrificed, got a beautiful home, and a son. Being a single Mom she didn\'t have much, we lived with my grandparents, I so wanted to be able to take her to the beach, take her on a vacation.. Even though it has been 36 yrs since she died, I miss her everyday. I only hope that I turned out to be a woman she would be proud of today. Yes, I understand too how we have moved forward after the loss of our Mom\'s, but for me I just think that I had Jim to help me then, you had Bruce, it is a bit harder as we are doing it on our own now, and we had a separate life away from our Mom\'s. Probably not making any sense, but my sincere thoughts and prayers are with you... Hugs, Alice
