Decided to go ahead and remodel the bathroom. Figured I may as well go for broke.I'm taking out the tub and putting in a shower. All new everything else.Vanity and toilet and floors. They started the work on monday. Been showering at my sisters. When they take the toilet I have to move out. Dont think anybody will want me knocking at their door for my 2am pee break. Wish I thought to take before pics but oh well. Its going to look so different. Cant wait for it to be done. As for the poison Ivy its clearing up well. I get it all the time and get patches here and there. Thank God it doesnt spread too much. I think the chlorine in the pool helps clear it up. The poison ivy is in my yard and is getting worse every year . To make matters worse my neighbor put up a big stockade fence so now I have a harder time controling it. Its starting to spread into my flower beds and its in between her fence and my fence. Very difficult to get to now. I'll probably be buried in it in about 5 more years. If it takes that long that is.

I think it is time for round up between the fences...That is what I used...no more weeds to fight!!LOL! Can\'t wait to see the new bathroom. I have thought about doing that...
THANK YOU LORI!!!! IT\'S 4:24AM HERE IN MISSOURI. I SHOULD BE SLEEPING BUT JUST KNOW THAT I HAVE BEEN A TERRIBLE FRIEND LATELY!! SO I GOT ON HERE....PULLED UP YOUR JOURNAL AND GOT A DAMN GOOD LAUGH!! YOU CAN COME TO MY HOUSE & PEE ANYTIME YOU WANT...LOL!
That is terrible you can\'t get rid of the poisen ivy. A new bathroom will be great. Steve got half of ours done when he died and I still have to find someone and the money to finish it. Someday soon I hope. Carolyn
Yeah, give it a few shots of Round-up, but you have to keep it away from anything else... I bet the chlorine did help dry it up. Good idea.. NOT taking out my bathtub, I love my baths, Jim used to say how many times did you go in the tub today??? I used to tell him I was cleaning the tub upstairs and really my body was in there. Wishing you the best today. Hugs, Alice
I have been taking out the carpet and replacing it with bamboo flooring in the living room, dining room, computer area and oldest daughter\'s old room. I have felt really empowered pulling it up and setting up getting the flooring in. Also sad that Ted\'s not by my side and joining in the decisions. I know he would like it as it was one of the projects we talked about doing when we got back from our trip in October. I feel like I\'m fulfilling our plans. I have a suggestion for poison ivy when I contracted a really bad case of it -- the pharm. suggested Benedryl gel and it works great, stops itch and heals. Also works for other itches. If you are able to still take pictures it wouldn\'t be too late. I took pictures of our bathroom as it started out as a replace tub and toilet to gutting and replacing & changing. It\'s fun to look back on now. Enjoy the progress, big hugs
