Tonight I got a call from Bruces softball coach. They have finally picked a date for the tournament they are going to have in his honor. They are a great group of guys and were all at his wake. He was on many softball teams over the years and I think every one of them had someone from a team come to the wake. There were guys there that Bruce hadnt seen in 15-20 years and every one of them said Bruce was a great guy and although time and life had made them lose touch they would never forget him. Any way, the tournament is to benifit the American Heart Assoc. and the money collected will be donated in Bruce's name. I get to throw the first pitch. I'm so excited about this I think it will be fun. Anyway the date is 8-2. The weirdest thing about the date is That is the 21st anniversary of Bruce's brothers death. He died At 26 of the same heart disease Bruce had, during a softball tournament. Bruce was devastated at the loss of his big brother. I always felt that he felt a little guilty that he survived his first heart attack at 28. But now he is in heaven back with his big brother again and they played a hand in the date being chosen so that I and his family would know they are together again.
