I feel so sorry for the new people on here. I feel the longer time goes by the less worldly advice I have to give. I used to think that I could help the new comers, now I feel I dont know what to say. It has been a year for me and although I feel better than I did a year ago I still dont feel great. Its still a roller coaster of emotions and some pretty sad days. I'm afraid to be honest with them and yet I dont want to lie and tell them it going to get better. Maybe it will one day but who knows when. All any of us wants is the pain to go away. And when its new and fresh you dont want to hear that people on here have been grieving 1,2 or more years. You want to know its going to stop. I know I sound very depressing and upbeat journals are what help us get through. But I'm not there right now. I'm sorry for bringing anyone down. I know sad journals are hard for me to read. I need to get out of this dark place. I hope brighter days are coming. I know they are out there somewhere. I've seen them before.

They are coming honey, the better days. And, don\'t apologize for what you feel. That\'s what this place is for. Nothing is wrong, and nothing is right, I guess. I don\'t know. It\'s just a damn hard road! Big hugs to you, and sorry for the deleting friend thing. Love ya, Barbara

Lori, I lost my youner son 5 years ago, and my Daddy 16 years ago. So I too know that it gets easire and better with time. I know too there are always those days when we go back to the darl place and visit it. Altough part of my grief is old. Loosing my older and (last)son in Dec is still a new and raw grief. I understand what you are saying. Just knowing you surrvived, and are rebuilding a new sort of life, in an encouragement and inspiration, at least to me. I know thay Steven\'s death just brought back the pain of Paul\'s death plus I no loger have any children. Mine situation is diffrent from alot of people\'s as I am a mother with no children left. I think you still have lots to off er just the fact tht in a year you have come a long journey. Love and prayers,Peggy

I\'M IN THE SAME BOAT LORI. I WONDER JUST HOW MUCH I SHOULD TELL THEM....WILL IT BE TOO MUCH FOR THEM?? I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SHARE...AND SOMETIMES IT HONESTLY IS. BUT THERE ARE ALWAYS THOSE TIMES WHEN I WORRY.

I agree with you - I have a hard time keeping up with all of my current friends, and wonder still - what to say, and how to comfort them - let alone new people - maybe I should invest time - as they did for me and touch bases with a few - all I really can do for anyone here - is listen, empathize, and offer comfort through prayers - everyone of us is heading in a different direction through the losses at the same time - we each need individual needs met - but how - love & comfort - and being blessed each day to have each other\'s love & support. Hope all is ok with you - love & hugs
