Saw my friend Sandy today, I'm worried about her. She seems way too good, she says it still hasnt hit her and she hasnt cried. She said she is prepared for it to happen. It just seems odd to me that she hasnt cried and she talks about him as if he still here. I noticed when she talk about him she could barely spit out his name and would fight back the tears. I asked her to go to a group or something. She agreed with me that she ws trying to block it out and wants help but is not ready to face it. I worry whats going to happen when it does hit her. She works 3rd shift so I only see her when I work a late night or when she comes in to shop so I cant spend much time with her. Its hard for me to understand any other way of grieving but my own.And I know Bruces death hit me right away,I'm worried she's not dealing with the grief, she's almost acting like it hasnt even happened.

Getting left behind is awful!!!I\'m not sure you ever get over the pain..people say you learn to handle it with it,but never get over it.:(
Yeah, she probably is still in shock. I think I am just beginning to realize now after 9 months that is is sooo real, but I still have those days. All you can do is just be there for her however she feels. I know you are good at that...
Alot of people react that way, and when it hits, they usually go to pieces. My daughter did that for a year and now she is dealing with it but she is very depressed, having stomach problems, can\'t sleep, nightmares, and migraines. It will come out as physical issues if she doesn\'t let it out. She can\'t pretend it didn\'t happen. Every one grieves different, and I agree she should go to a group or talk to a grief counselor. Big hugs to you, Carolyn
She\'s lucky to have you as a concerned friend! It\'s unforunate that we have to feel the pain before we can understand it. You are right to be worried about her!! It will hit her hard SOON! If whe won\'t go right now you probably have no choice but to make yourself handy for when she crumbles. This sounds so cruel, I know...but Lori, I worry about YOU TOO!!
You are sooooo specail!!
love, Jeanne
