One of my friends at work, son died on Sunday night. They found him in her driveway between the house and a car.People had walked by him and didnt know he was there. I feel so sorry for her.He was only about 20 yrs old. It makes me feel like I need to be there for her. Like my pain is nothing compared to hers. I like to help others and have always put others ahead of my self. It helps me not have to deal with my own issues. I know sometimes thats not a good way to handle things but it works for me.....So now on to my next mission

It is nice that you feel you want to help people. I am the same. But don\'t forget about yourself either. Yes it makes you forget about yourself for a while, but you still need to cope with your own issues.
You are so nice to be there for your friend. You know how it feels and you know how important it is to be there for someone when they suffer a loss.
YOU ARE A GEM!

Tragic hon, your co-worker is going to need a tremendous amt. of support right now - He was young, too young - makes the heartache heavier. Every loss is painful - and I know you with your special way, will find a way to soothe her pain. Bless you - her family will be in my prayers.

Lori, you sound so much like me! I always end up tending to others first & deal with my issues last. It\'s a character fault. Let your friend know that we are all praying for her & her family...love, Jeanne

I thought alot about who would really be able to relate to my situation other then people that have been through it and I decided losing a child has to be as hard, maybe harder then losing a spouse.. You two probably have more in common then you ever wanted to have. Grieve together..My husbands best friend died 23 days after he did and I have tried to reach out to his wife but she isnt ready for it. I dont know if it is because of who I am or what but I try to be here for her..God bless you both.

What a sad, sad thing to have happend to such a young person.. Your a good friend to put aside your pain and reach out to your friend in her time of need.
I can\'t even start to imagine how it must be to lose one of your children.
Tell her about this site, becasue there are many on this site who are going through what she is and can give her comfort, support and strength to bear this pain in her heart.
Please extend my deepest sympathy to the family. Big Hugs and prayers going out to your friend and her family filled with comfort, peace and strength. May God be with you and give you the strength andknowledge to help your friend.....Stella

I am so sorry about your friends son. I can\'t imagine the pain of losing a child. I think it has to be worse than losing a spouse. He was too young. I feel so bad for her. I am glad she has you. Big hugs to you. Carolyn
