Hopeful

Today, my husband has been clean for 32 days.  Each day it seems our lives are getting better.  He is dealing with his recovery very well and I am supporting him as much as possible without trying to fix him.  This is definitely not my strong point, as I like to fix everything.  LOL
We have touched on the infidelity issues a few times but it makes me so very upset.  I have decided to put it away and forgive him.  This is not to say I am not going to protect myself or become unaware.. i just want to move forward.  I do not accept his behavior but I can say he seems very remorseful.  He not only tells me how remorseful he feels but is demonstrating loving actions towards me.  I have never seen this side of him. I am skeptical but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt since he is clean now.
It all seems TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE but I am willing to work things out if his heart is in the right place.  He is the love of my life and I want to make sure I am not giving up too soon.

Good to hear that things are going better. It is understandable that you get upset when dealing with the infidelity. I can also understand how you may feel it is easier to move forward without addressing it...if you do feel you can truly forgive, and move forward from there, then great. But, if you find you\'re still dwelling on it, just burying the hurt - then realize it may not go away without addressing it. I would assume it may take many attempts to address it in different ways before it becomes any easier. For right now, I think it\'s great that you are able to focus on the positive.
