Feeling a bit down tonight...not too bad though. I went out drinking last night so I'm chalking it up to the effects of alcohol making me feel this way. Trying so hard not to think of him but he was at the bar I went to last night. I downed 3 doubles within the first 15 minutes of getting there to calm my nerves. I slowed down a bit after that & had a great time with my friends, dancing. I didnt talk to him at all, I just pretended he wasn't there. Now I'm thinking about the night & thinking how sad it is that 2 people who were married for 9 years can become what we are now. No one in that bar would have even known that we knew eachother let alone are still married.... It makes me sad...:( I'm really missing who I thought was my best friend.

The past is a hard thing to shake especially when you were so emotionally invested. The person you miss is no longer there but only in memory. You are getting stronger more than you think. I feel you sadness but know that your future is still ahead of you and the past is only in your memories. Hang in there.
aw.....that makes me sad....but glad you were able to overcome....yes 3 doubles in 15 minutes might have something to do with how you\'re feeling today...but i sure am not one to preach at ya....hugs and prayers for you dear!
Good for you for having fun and avoiding a scene (I would have been SO TEMPTED to talk to him).
It is sad. this is my greatest source of sadness now--what we have become, basically enemies, after 14 years together as best friends. I no longer miss being married, but whenever I think of this I get depressed.
That is sad, you sound like you were very strong I think I would have bolted for the door. It looks like were both working on the same goal.
