I went to my first Dr.'s appointment on Wednesday. I was only 5.5 wks on that day. All that I have read said you usually can't see the hearbeat until 6wks. I prepared myself mentally for that. I had the internal utrasound. I saw the sac. The tech measured it and it came out to me being 5.5 wks., which was exactly on target:) Everything looked good so far. She was not able to see a heartbeat. She repeatedly told me that was normal. I feel very positive about this pregnancy. I met with my Dr. after the ultrasound and again she told me that it was normal to not have seen a heartbeat. She would have been really surprised if I had. I have another appointment next Wednesday. She said she will probably see the heartbeat then. She is going to see me once a week for hearbeat checks. For my piece of mind. She said she would do this until I could feel the baby move. She is so wonderful! So far I am feeling good. No morning sickness as of yet. I'm sure it's coming soon:(  I feel so bloated. My clothes are already tight! I'm not complaining. I'm so thrilled to be pregnant.  I will keep you all posted on my next appontment:)
