Update

For those of you who are on my friends list, but not on Jane's, here is an update on her progress.  She got kept in overnight on Wednesday as they wanted to do a brain scan.  They did the scan yesterday and it came back all clear.  However they still aren't happy, as now she is getting a headache which eases off with paracetamol but comes back after 2 hours !  So they kept her in overnight as they want to do a lumbar puncture today.   So they have ruled out stroke, and brain lesions.  They hopefully will rule out today Meningitis and any other inflammatory problems which affect the brain/spine area.   The reason they suspect meningitis is because of the weakness, neck stiffness, sensitivity to light (at times). When Jane went to University she had the meningitis vaccine, so it may be because of this she isn't getting the full symptoms, also because of her severe psoriasis we might not be able to see any rash !!   yesterday we had a bit of a run in with one of the nurses.  Jane also has arthritis and the doctor on Wednesday omitted putting her Naproxen (anti inflammatory) on her medication record, so they would not give it to her Wednesday evening, he still hadn't done it on Thursday morning, so she didn't get that dose either, so on Thursday morning her arthritis was pretty bad.  She asked a nurse for some help to get dressed (even with the anti-inflammatory I've been having to help her at home to get dressed on occasions).  The nurse was going to do it but got called away so asked another one to help her.  She turned around and said she doesn't need help (probably because of Jane's age).   She was still in her PJ's at 2.30pm when I went to see her.   After they did her blood pressure, I asked a nurse to pull the curtains so I could help Jane get dressed ! Oh well she has moved wards since then, hopefully they will be more helpful on the new ward.  The ward she was on you can only stay for 48 hours, it's an emergency assessment ward.   Well i'm going to go and clean and tidy the kitchen, then do some baking so i can take some home made cakes down to Jane when I go down this afternoon.
