I received this email from a friend about the high rate of suicide regarding the war in Iraq.  Seems there is a higher incidence of suicide since the war in Iraq, compared to other wars.  I was appauled by the treatment this woman has received from our government regarding this article.  She clearly had a mental breakdown, but.... to think she could spend the rest of her life in prison because she was suffering from PTSD is absurd.  I have written a letter to Doug asking if he knows of an advisor from DS who could help write a petition to our government.  Our government truly needs to be educated regarding PTSD and for it to be taken seriously. This is the articlehttp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/12/01/AR2007120101782.html

After chatting with the woman from Iraq on this site, it is even more appauling. Bush really needs to get our soldiers out and quickly. Needless lives are being lost.
