Worry
I'm a worrier. I worry about everything. I worry that I worry too much. And then I worry that this worries me. I take medicine for it. Which worries me. Yup, I'm a worrier.
Lately, my worrying is starting to take over. I feel like I can't breathe most of the time. I feel like I can't function. I'm muddling through and I'm telling myself that it will pass, it will get better, the anxiety will ease as time passes. Some days it's hard to see past today.
I'm scared as hell that I'll never get pregnant again. I'm scared as hell that I will...and it will end the same way. No matter which way I look, I'm filled with anxiety. I know that this is the root of all of my other worries. This worry is something that I have absolutely no control over. And so I transfer the worry to everything else and tell myself I should be able to control it, to control my life.
My cat had an abscess at the base of her tail for which she had to have a drain and 12 stitches put in. She has been miserable - in pain and mad as hell - for about a week and a half. She has been the focus of my obsessing and anxiety. I want to fix her, I want to make it better, I want to take her pain.
Like I wish someone could do for me. Fix me. Make it better.
But all I can do is stroke her nose and tell her it won't be like this forever. I wonder if she knows that I'm also telling myself?
