Making progress

I've been feeling a little better each day. Still in pain though and regularly taking my pain medicine. I keep trying to go without because I don't want to come dependent on it but it's never a good idea. Today I decided to Just wait an extra 15 minutes before taking it each time I'm scheduled to take it again.

The blisters on the incision from the wound vac are bothering me the most...drying up and tightening. That's where my incision seems to hurt the most. I've been attempting a quick shower every other day but need to figure out how the heck I'm going to  shave my legs before I turn into a bear. Just can't bend to do that yet. Got dressed in real, but super comfy, clothes for the first time today. I was proud of myself but then fell asleep for an hour. Lol.

Tomorow row I need to call for my final pathology report about the lymphnodes they tested. They supposedly get back to me within 24 hours. I'm starting to freak out about it. I hope everything was contained in the uterus and the report is cancer free....I want this to be over and to at least see an end in sight.

I let my legs go for a good 2 months then I thought, nobody else is going to help me out with this so I did it by just taking a bit at a time thru a day. Rest between thigh and calf. I couldn\'t bend either. You may find that for quite a while you will not want to wear any pants that hug your body. I talked to other women and they said the same thing. The scar will be sensative for months. Normal!
I did what you are doing on the pain meds too. Then I got to where I could go from morning to night then take one to help me sleep. Finally just to sleep then off. I ended up throwing out a practically new bottle of pain pills but they were there if I needed them.
I pray your pathology report will be fine. Then all you will need to do is rest and recover with a clear mind. My good friend had the same and hers was contained.
You will feel like a new person when the staples come out!!! But still rest as much as you can for a while. I waited almost 2 months to do anything physical. Then I applied for a job about a month later--Got the job! My new life started.
Take care
Mary
