I am nine days sober wahoooooo. For the last three days I have been in so much pain that it has taken my breath away. Two years ago I had a two level fusion on my back ( couldnt have been from two Harley Davidson accidents) and had been doing alot better. Today I could not take the pain and my dr happended to have a cancellation, thank God and got me right in, he gave me two shots in my lower back with cotisone and then asked me to walk.. It didnt even cut it so he gave me meds to help the pain and the muscle tightness. I feel pretty good now but am still in pain but just dont care.. lol.. I dont want to get to many pain pills because with my addictive behavior I know I would be hooked and then trying to get off the pain meds.. Ofcourse I didnt do to bad on them after back surgery so I guess I will be ok.. I just dont want to stop one addiction and get another. There have been pain meds in the drawer for Al and his shoulder and I havent taken them so I think I will be ok..All I can say is I am so thankful he got me in cause I didnt think I would last another day. I have arthritis and a degenerative back disease. I dont want to end up in a wheel chair so I think I need to sart some exercises just to build my back up.. Just in to much pain to try yet... I will get her done though.. Thanks for listening my friends.. Hope you are at peace and pain free. Thank you for all my friends.. You make my life so much easier.. Thank you Thank you Thank you.. Y'Vonne

Wow, 2 Harley accidents?? Was you hurt bad?
Sorry to hear you have been in such great pain. Careful with the pain meds, like you said...you\'re doing wonderfully with the not drinking...keep up the good work. I\'m right behind you, rooting for you!!!!
Just another bump in the road, beautiful. There are many types of exercises that you can do to relieve back pain. I would suggest that you look on the internet for some that involve minor stretching and maybe some slow walking. Just don\'t overdo it. Please take care of yourself and listen to you doctor. Love ya. I would send you a hug but I might sqeeze too hard so a kiss will have to do.
My husband is in constant pain because he has arthritis in his upper back & had surgery on his lower back so I understand where ur coming from...just try & take it easy & CONGRATS on staying sober. That is HUGE!
Hey you will be fine you are so much stronger than you think!!! And a big whoohooo for sticking to your goal whilst being in pain too WTG my love... Thank goodness you were able to nip things in the bud and get in to see your doc. Here to pain free days again very very soon xxxx
my goodness, 2 bike accidents! i guess it\'s true, bike people don\'t stop till they have too...lol i am so glad the dr got you in, i don\'t think you really have to worry about addiction to the pain meds, if you need them for that long, you\'re likely to need them forever...just be aware of how many you take and when. hugs
9 days!!!! fantastical
Proud of you,
Chunk
Ouch, Sorry your back is out. Mine went out last summer and it was hell. I got a trigger point shot in my back and it helped a little. Yes, Accidents don\'t help either, glad your better, Hugs, Kelly :)
