30 Day Event Monitor..and the results are in

I had expressed some concerns with my doctor, who I just love!  He takes the time to sit down and really talk to me and he knows all the issues I have with afib, albeit I really don't have it often.  We did the 30 day event monitor and I would call in every extra beat I felt.  99% of the extra beats were just that, extra beats..only twice did I have a run of afib, neither one lasting more than 5 seconds.  I was diagnosed 3  years with afib, a run of an hour, converting myself, so I figure after 3 years, no meds and only a few seconds of afib here and there, I can live with that!  I am on 325 mg of coated aspirin and a single daily dose of Cardizem.  I refuse to take Rythmol or any other drugs in that class, I would opt for an ablation before I do that again..I was miserable on Rythmol and furthermore I feel my cardio doctor did overkill on that.  18 months on a drug that was making my life more miserable than afib!  So anyway, 30 days, the monitor is coming off, the results were good and I hope they continue to be that way.
