3 steps forward 2 back
After meeting my DS friends over the weekend I was so proud of myself for going outside my comfort zone. I know Randy would be so proud of me too. It would bother him that I’m not doing what we always did, go places, do things, just live. I can’t seem to do that without him. But I did this past weekend and had a very nice time, I was so comfortable with the people I’ve been talking to and sharing my pain with these past months. Then this week another wave hits. I’ve been so weepy this week. I don’t know if it’s the changing of the calendar again, or the changing of the seasons. All I know is that more time is passing by and my Randy is not here to share it with me. I’m missing him so much. Life is going on but I’m not. I really thought I was doing better.

Dawn, i often wonder if a \'comfort zone\' is just that or a reminder of what is not to be. Randy is right, he would want you to live, enjoy life as best we can. One bereavement group I\'ve attended tried to instill the idea instead of thinking as
WE (as a couple) to think of ME ( as an individual ) . Sounds selfish, but may help. So go places, do things live life. Hugs
Dawn....I know exactly what you mean. Tuesday was my weepy day...rainy outside, the new paint was the wrong color in the kitchen and I could not get motivated to do anything. Today it is better though and I think this journey is just so unpredictable. One day I seem okay, the next day I am a mess. You can be assured that we are all going through it. Hang in there..hopefully tomorrow will be better.
You should be proud of your journey to PA to meet us. It was a long drive for you into unfamiliar territory. Good job! Take each day as it comes and know that Randy is proud of you each and every day. Hugs....Nancy
