3 Good things
3 good things
Well, I am getting in early today as it is only lunchtime! However, I am on such a high from a surprise visit at work from my husband I felt inspired to write the three things I am grateful for (so far!) today:
1. Number one with a bullet is my husband. He is so caring and supportive. I honestly feel like I am blessed to have him in my life. He always tried to live by his moral compass and do whatever is good and right. I admire his strength and tenacity and his overall optimism. Recently, he has been finding all this IF stuff really tough. Through it all, he has remained dependable, calm and pragmatic in the face or my hormone filled irrational tantrums and panic attacks. He always takes time out of the day to let me know how much he loves and appreciates me, regardless of the terrible day he may have had at work or the mountains of study he has to face when he gets home. I am truly grateful for every moment I get to spend with him.
2. A bit simpler...pain relief. Today I have had really bad period pain. For while I was suffering in silence and then it dawned on me-ibuprofen! Two of those puppies and the pain goes in a matter of minutes! I am grateful for the easy access I have to modern medicine. Not everywhere in the world is such simple stuff like paracetamol or ibuprofen so readily available and easily taken...for that I am grateful
3. My sheer willpower to get out of bed at 5:15am this morning and head to the gym...even though at 5:16am it was the last thing I wanted to do...I did it and it has set me up right for the rest of the day. I am grateful for the ability to be able to see the bigger picture and realise that although I may grumble and argue with myself in the morning to get up and get going-my mind and body will thank me for it later on in the day.
4. Oh and a cheeky number 4 would have to be the sheer brilliance that is Christopher Nolan and his Batman series....Oh how I love those movies!!! (apologies-my husband has turned me into a comic book nerd-I love all things Batman...especially the Lego variety!)
