3 day versus 5 day UGGGHH

SO first let me tell you that I GOTTA STOP GOOGLING STUFF!!!! I know better! Last IVF i had a 5 day transfer and yesterday I had a 3 day transfer. I read that 5 day are suppose to be better! Now I cried and cried when I found out that I will have a 3day transfer. My doc and embroyologist convinced me of why, but now I feel like it's not going to work! Are there any 3 day transfer success stories. Lastly, I need to be slapped becuase I feel like I am not being thankful! It's driving me bananas! I just found out my brother has a newborn baby and it's not from his wife!! Now, here I am trying and trying and he comes along and has a newborn and his only son is 22 years old!!! Really..?? Anyways on a positive note.. I realize that at 3 day or 5 day that I have to release it to God. I believe it's up to him now...... I just needed to ven

my last transfer was a 3 and 5 day transfer...we had 3 three day embies and one frozen blast....my first was a day 5 transfer of 2 with no result...second one resulted in pregnancy that unfortunately was triplets who all implanted in the same spot limiting blood flow to the the placentas and resulted in a miscarriage @ 8 wks....So I really think the odds are about the same either way....embies are meant to be in the uterus...and I think the longer they leave them out the harder it is on them....good luck....

I had a 3-day transfer!!! Our RE recommended it I think b/c we only had 2 fertilized embryos anyway--and we had success! Try to not over-analyze your RE\'s rec.--and I agree that having access to too much info is not always a good thing. Going through IF inherently makes us question everything, which can be one of the downsides to what we experience, since we tend to let the past lead our expectations. Try to nurture trust in your body that this can be a normal, healthy implantation (and, hopefully, pregnancy! ). Sending you thoughts for a calm mind and heart!

My 19 month old son was a 3 day transfer! I was worried about it at the time, but it worked. I know it\'s hard just waiting around for things to happen, but Google will drive you nuts. Good luck, I\'ll be thinking good thoughts for you!

In my opinion, if the egg is good, 3 day vs 5 day doesn\'t matter. Hang in there!
