I am just having a struggle dealing with my 12 year old's behavior. He is ADHD and was recently diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder. He has been a handful lately. It takes a lot of patience. I go to counseling regularly and take Sam once a week. I am just exausted dealing with him not listening and breaking all his stuff. It's been a tough day.
It's either one thing to deal with or another. Will work through this. It's just tough. I pray a lot!!

I\'ll pray for you!! And your son! I\'ve heard of ODD and know the gist of what it\'s like, but that\'s all!! It sounds like it must be a very exhausting condition for you to deal with!! I\'m glad that you guys go to counseling! I hope it helps the both of you a lot.
It does indeed sound tough. Sheesh. (((((Hugs)))))

I never heard of ODD- What is it? One of my sons has Autism and the other has a hyperactivity disorder. You must believe it will get better. Tomorrow is another day. It must be hard for you when you have issues of your own. I know, I am in the same situation.

I am so sorry you are going through all of this with Sam. Parenting is the toughest job in the world. You are doing all the right things and it will work out...I know it may not seem like it now. Keep praying and taking him to counseling. I am thinking of you all and sending positive thoughts your way. Love you! xo

My goodness, you do have your hands full. That\'s a rough road hun, I was in special ed and I did work with behavior disordered teens - getting a handle on it is a tough thing to do, but the sooner the better; and it sounds like you\'re doing the best for you and him. Hang in there!

Stacey I feel for you. I know that all to well as my oldest son 11 now was diagnosed orginally ODD and ADHD which has now turned to Bi-Polar. The best thing you can do is love him and take time to talk about his feelings. You also need to take time for yourself as you can get burnt out and then it really dosent to anyone any good:). Best of luck and if you ever need someone to vent to or just a sympathetic ear I am here for you.
Big Hugs
