3/23

Day 4 not drinking and day 1 putting those dam cigarettes down. Going home this weekend for Easter and Saturday night having dinner with good friends, I'm really worried. Going to a dinner where we used to party together and stop for drinks. My husband is not a drinker but maybe once in awhile  likes his wine. I'm going to tell him he can can drink and I will be the DD that way I won't drink for sure. My joke used to be I married him because I had a DD for life.  They talk about in AA the yetts....I only drank and drove once when I was 24 but have been in cars with people drinking and driving my whole life. My cousin was killed by a drink driver when we were both 7 and they stayed with me not to drive drunk, but the dumb ass I am was the passenger not any better. My goal is AA WOMANS MEETINGS when i get back at least 3 a week that helps me that support works.

Good Job!!! My h.usband says that about himself....the DD, he has never drunk much. I am on day 3. This weekend is going to be tough. My husband has a family party every year for his dad\'s side of the family. About 25 30 people here. I drink just to survive!!! Prayers for the both of us

Good luck this weekend! It definitely helps to have a plan and a strong mindset before you go into a tempting situation.
I\'ve probably told you this before but I attended AA meetings for 3 months. Overall, I decided it wasn\'t for me BUT I have nothing but good things to say about the people I met there and I LOVED the woman\'s group. I still think about going just for that one meeting a week because I felt so comfortable and supported there. I think that would be a good place for you to go:)
Have a good weekend!
