3 1/2 months of tinnitus
My ringing started on October 21st, 2010 and has been with me almost 24/7 since. I have stopped taking all medications and have spent hours on the Internet looking for answers. I have been to 2 ENTs and that was almost useless since I don't believe they understand or care about this affliction. My T has gotten better, but not gone yet. I have quit diet soft drinks and all medications at this point. I have found some foods trigger my ears ringing louder such as fruit and especially bananas. The first month to six weeks I was going crazy. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, and it was a living hell. Now, I have some bad days, but there are some days I think that it will go away. I have high frequency hearing loss, so I am told most tinnitus sufferers have hearing loss. It was great to find this site to know other people have the same experiences as I have. They rate the ringing from 1 to 10 as I have done. I think that medication started my problems, but I don't know which to blame it on. I was taking Gabapentin, Lipitor, Zestril, Trazadone, Aspirin, and Benadryl daily. I think it was a combination of these drugs and maybe all the aspartame I was drinking.
