2nd Ultrasound - very scared
I just posted almost the same entry under Pregnancy After Loss but I thought I'd write this as a journal entry as well. I had my second ultrasound yesterday and everything went great. Since I'm high risk, I will be getting ultrasounds frequently. Anyway, they have some high tech ultrasound machines. We got to see the heat images of the blood pumping through the baby's heart chambers! We also got to hear the 150 beats per minute! It was amazing. They said everything looked great and I'm measured where I need to be (today I'm 7 weeks 4 days). But last night, I started bleeding and it was a medium brown discharge and more than just when I wiped. I've been through this before and know brown blood is old blood and I tried to tell myself it could be from the vaginal ultrasound and hoped it would go away. This morning, it was minimal but then later in the morning it covered my underwear (sorry tmi) and when I wiped it was all there again, still brown in color and I'm also having some cramping - although I can't really distinguish if it's normal pregnancy cramps. I thought it would go away by now. I'm only freaking out because this is how it started last time and ultimately ended in miscarriage weeks later. I'm just praying to God everything is okay. I'm so scared right now:( On top of all this, today is my Bday! I thought I'd be celebrating this pregnancy, not freaking out!

There\'s probably nothing I can say to make you feel better or help you relax, BUT that is old blood AND internal u/s can definitely cause that. Did you call your dr\'s office?
Happy birthday sorry you don\'t feel like celebrating!!!!
Yes I called my Dr. and they told me the same thing you did and exactly what I knew they\'d say. Been there before. I just have to keep monitoring to be sure it doesn\'t turn bright red or that I don\'t fill up a pad. It\'s just so hard not to worry. But thanks for the words.
I know it\'s hard not to worry when all we know is heartbreak and loss. I will continue to keep you and your miracle in my thoughts. I wish there was more I could do
I\'m really trying to stay positive. I keep thinking how well the u/s went yesterday and how strong that heartbeat was beating. My bf made me laugh. He said (and keep in mind he\'s 6\'8 and over 300 lbs) \"maybe the baby is taking after me and eating a lot already and what you\'re already seeing is poop!\" I had to laugh.
LOL that\'s really funny! Staying positive is the only thing you can really do. Keep me updated, I\'m sure it\'ll let up here soon and you\'ll have an uneventful, enjoyable 9 months and then meet this precious miracle
happy birthday again hope your bf has something fun planned ;-)
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
