2nd IUI today, very emotional
So today is my second IUI at 1pm, I'm doing this on my lunch hour, haha, so I think I'm going to just relax and maybe get a massage later today.
I don't know how to explain how I'm feeling today, I feel hopeful, sad, irritated, like crying and I'm not sure if this is normal to feel the day of my IUI. Last time I was super anxious and I felt so dizzy at the appt. My mind is telling me to think good thoughts and be positive but my heart is weighing so heavy on me. Does anyone go through these type of emotions the day of their IUI or IVF? I'm starting to wonder if something is wrong with me. I feel like I should be so happy right now but I'm not.
Any advice for me would help so much today.

Hugs! I\'ve never had to go through IUI or IVF but I can relate. I think its the fact you don\'t want to get your hopes up just in case you don\'t get a BFP. Hang in there. Praying you do get that BFP!
Thank you so much!
I got dizzy after my second IUI, but I guess I learned what it felt like and it was better the next time? It\'s understandable not to be happy, but once it happens you will probably get a little sense of hope, like \"hey, maybe this will work\"- and maybe it will!
IUIs for me were the worst emotional torture! I was all over the place with them emotionally and actually find IVF is easier to deal with. So you are not alone feeling all crazy. Does not help that your hormones are high either. Good luck! And take some time for yourself today!
I agree, they are very emotional. All the emotions kind of run through you at once, and you\'re not even sure which one to feel. As long as hope is in there somewhere, even if it\'s not being felt often, then you\'re ok. If you lose all hope, then my suggestion would be to move onto a different treatment or find something to change up so you gain that sense of hope back. Fingers crossed this was it!
Thanks for the replies ladies, it made me feel so much better today. I had the IUI and let me tell you, it was WAY more painful than last time..it caught me off guard and I shouted because it hurt my cervix so bad. I think I\'m just extra down there right now. Whew...glad that it\'s over. Hubby held my hand and made me laugh. Good news is his sperm count went up my 4 million, woo hoo!
I think some doctors hurt more. With my first doctor, it hurt a lot, each time I was really uncomfortable. With my second doctor, and his partner, way better. Good luck during your wait- for me first few days is doable..... The last few were brutal! Plans dates with friends and the hubby!
I\'m sorry it was so painful hun! Hope you can take some time today to pamper yourself, relax and let those spermies do their thing ;)
I can\'t remember feeling that way for my IUI\'s, but for my FET I was not feeling right the day before - just so nervous/scared and definitely emotionally drained. I think/hoping that the next one I won\'t feel that way, but I think it\'s normal to feel emotional. Good luck and pamper away afterwards :)
