Well it is Thanksgiving, I need to be thankful for alot of things, I know I make alot of mistakes but I realy want to change, I sometimes don't now how or what to do. I wish I could just fix things financially and change the way things are for my family here. I guess I will take it slow one day at a time, and maybe I can change the way I do things at work and at home.  I did not gamble day 2 and I will not gamble just for today. Take Care and Happy Thanksgiving.  Hugs,Mindy

Happy Thanksgiving to you! It takes time to recover financially from our losses and it does take a different mindset to stick to it. Overwhelming stress does not help. I hope you have a good day and enjoy your family and being GF for today !

Happy Thanksgiving Mindy!
I just caught up on your journal entries, you have a lot on your plate, just try not to stress and take on one problem at time. Sometimes things seem so overwhelming when you look at it as a whole. I\'m glad your hubby is taking action and doing something about his/your son. There is no need to feel guilty as long as you guys are trying to fix the \"problem\", he is young and needs guidence. It\'s time you focus on yourself, try going to a GA meeting, listing your \"triggers\" to gambling and maybe an alternative suggestion list. Everyday I look my finances and feel overwhelmed, it will take over 6 years to pay off that debt!!! My husband reminds me to not be overwhelmed and just make sure the monthly payments are made...don\'t look too far ahead and DEFINATELY do not add to more debt...it will work out...hang in there and don\'t be so hard on yourself!
Stay Strong!
Hugs,
Liz

Happy Thanks Giving to you Mindy. We have a lot to be grateful for, this we cannot forget. We will get through this one way or another. ODAAT is what it\'s gonna take for us girl. Like you, I have a lot of financial worries on my plate to deal with, it sucks, but it\'s what I\'ve got to take care of each day. but I know for certain, if I continue the gambling, I cannot deal with issues on hand, because I become such a mess. It\'s a horrible cycle to be in. We will crawl out of the rubble which we created, our first step was reaching out our hand, and we found support through DS or other sources, but they reached out to us too and pulled us out. but now we need to dust off and mend the pieces and get our lives back in order. It can and will happen. Trust in yourself. Have a lovely holiday with your family, I intend to and I am so blessed for what I have in my life. Day 2 being GF for me. That\'s a huge acheivment right now in my life. Take Care and God Bless. Hugs...Jackie

Dear Mindy,
Today is a blessed new day...we need to walk this walk one day at a time. If we worry it doesn\'t led us anywhere, we still need to show concern and be active in stopping our addictions....but you are doing that and so am I...just for today I will not gamble. Hugs Suzi...and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! The money problems will lessen as time goes by. One bill at a time and one day at a time. Do what you can. Hang in there, if will get better! Peace and Love.

I think the trick is we have to look at each day at a time. Becomes too overwhelming if we look at all our financial stresses, triggers us to gamble. Happy Thanksgiving, hugs.
