So far, so good

Still doing ok so far. I haven't fooled myself into thinking this is going to be simple though. I am very well aware that at the moment I am still on my best behaviour following the aftermath of what happened. The next week or two are going to be the real test for me, as I could start slipping into old old habits and behaviour patterns. It could be over absolutely anything as well. I need to stay vigilant, follow all the advice about taking a breath before answering a question if your automatic response is to lie, and if I do lie to immediately correct it and admit that I have just lied. My first true test is approaching I feel, I need to stay focused on what I want to do. Just writing about it and fearing what i may do in a situation where I could lie is making me feel a little anxious. I want to believe that I will be honest, and I aim to be honest, but it will be tough I fear. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step though. Being honest in a situation where I would normally habitually lie will be my first step on that thousand mile journey. Here's hoping I don't trip straight away.
