I finally got a letter from my daughter who's in jail, again for parole violation this time. I felt bad because I haven't gone to see her and she's been there for a month. The letter just made me  feel so discouraged. She is stil saying the same thing she always says when she's in trouble, how she's going to get her life together, etc. etc. She also states how she wants her sister and I to help her get on her feet. It's the same old thing just a differant day, she still doesn't have a plan to change her life and doesn't know where to start or how to start. She said she hasn't written Jade because she's embarrased. she also admitted to going back with the abusive boyfriend before she went back to jail. I'm so tired of trying to get through to her, the pattern just keeps repeating, then I feel guilty because a good Mother never throws her child away and I feel as though that is what I will be doing if I give up on her. At the same time trying to raise my grandaughter (her daughter) and be the stable person she needs. I really wish I could close off my emotions towards my daughter and just not care anymore, but that isn't in my makeup as a person. It all just hurts so much until it gets unbearable! It is truly hard to watch this train wreck!

Hi, I\'m Suzy Q. (not really, it\'s a nickname from my 86 yr. old gramda). Just wanted to let you know that I\'\'ll be praying for your daughter. I know you must be in much anguish over all of this. I\'ll pray that God will give you peace in the midst of the storms you are going through. You sound very strong though and I believe you\'re going to make it through. \"This to shall pass, \" the Bible says. Anyway, just wanting to be your friend. Thanks, Suzy

You will never be able to cut off emotions for her. She is your daughter and even though she isn\'t living a good life you still love her. Let it go to God as hard as it is. Let God take care of this. I pray that you are able to cast your burden upon him and continue to be blessed for all the wonderful things you are doing for your family.
