I have decided to stop taking my medication. I have been happier than I have ever been in my life on them. But I feel like I have lost a part of myself somehow. Like If I was depressed again at least I wouldn't be like everyone else, just going through life not thinking about anything just being totally normal. Being depressed feels like being outside of the world looking in, and I miss that feeling. I feel like it would help my creativity loads if I was off these tablets.

Oh darlin, I knnow how you feel. I was on those pills for awhile too and they had the same effect. They helped, I was a happier person, but for me, pills weren\'t the right way to heal, because I felt dulled and numbed to the world that was going on around me. Like I was happy in it, but my true self was no longer a part of it. Before stopping you need to talk to your doc. If you have been on it for awhile, it\'s in your system and you can have withdrawls. Perhaps this may explain why you are having the sleeping troubles (nightmares). Best wishes to you and best of luck.
You have to make a choice, which is worse? The depression or the side effect. Only you know that. Which ever way you decide I am always there for you if you need me. Eric
If you have been on the meds for a while, you should NOT go cold turkey. Go off them GRADUALLY or you can crash or feel sick. Good luck. I hope it works out for you.
