Hey AllWell tonight was great there was three celebrating a birthday. Me with a one year, then a 10 year and a 27 year. So I took cake and Ice cream after I almost drop the cake in the walmart parking lot. We got to the church and mom was there already talking to people.Ralph decided he wasn't getting in front of people to present the coing to me so mom had the job. Mom was asking the chairman what did she say she wasn't sure what to say. lol She said a few words and was almost crying when I went up and then a said very few words lol. One of my friends said one day he would like to hear my story and I said uhhhhh ok. He said when I was ready. We had a lot of laughs and hugs and eats. So now i'm home. It was a night I will not forget to soon. Its been hard most days and good some of the days. At least I'm out of rehab and going forward. Our Motto is One day at a time. The coin I got has the serenity prayer on one side and the number one on the other. I told mom I will have to get a jar to keep my coins in. I got a coin from a reunion we did for ppl who went through rehab at the hospital. i also go the 30 day and 60 day chip from AA. So that is had a good time and now I'm starting to work on my next birthday one day at a time. I wish I could tell my Dad but I'm not sure if he really cares. Oh well. I got my family and God and you all. Love Robin

Congratulations to you Robin. 1 year is quite an accomplishment. You should be very proud of yourself. I\'m very proud of you. It takes desire, drive, disipline, commitment and courage to climb out of a bottle, get back on our feet and join the human race again. I know from personal experience. I\'m a alcoholic and I\'ve been dry 5 years this December 10th. If I can do it, you can do it. One day at a time and Let go & Let God.

God bless and watch over you Robin.

You must feel very proud of your accomplishments. You are in a difficult position having chronic pain, but not being able to use the meds. I have been thru some major pain since I was diagnosed with RA so I know how brave you are. Good job! My thoughts are with you...hugs jilly
