Hey AllI thought getting a bladder pace maker was the worst for the day but it wasn't. I went to take a nap because I figure dad wasn't coming. I got up and watch some tv and talk with Ralph and Rhonda. I got on the puter and mom called. She said dad called her mad because he came all the way the my house and nobody was there he didn't care if something was wrong but it was a big deal that he drove. He was drunk when he called mom. Well mom told me I better call and talk to him. I called him and found out one of my brothers call and told him about Rhonda and he ranted and ranted about how stupid it was and why did I do it. I told him maybe it was stupid but I did it. He said she wasn't welcome at his house and I said fine I didn't like him drinking in front of my kids anyway. So he said that was they way he was and so. I said fine I didn't like it. He said bye and hung up. Well I told "Ralph and Rhonda what he said and Ralph said he was probably drinking and had no business talking like that and I said well it figures he didn't want Rhonda around so he wouldn't get us either. So now we have no christmas at dads and thats fine with me. My step mom probably had a fit and drunk and yelling and screaming. Mom called back and apologize for picking him to be our dad and I said she took care of us and thats all that matters. Dad was a alcoholic and he had no business to be in my business. Well I'm a little upset because I don't think he will call me again and I sure wont call him. He also called mom and ranted on her again drunk after he talk to me. So I'm more piss then upset that he would do that to mom. So I told both boys what happen and both wasn't upset about going to my dad's house so I guess I should be okay with it. So now going forward. He also didn't ask me if everything was okay at the docs which is upsetting. He was more worried about him driving a long way to see his daughter and tell her she was stupid. Well I may be stupid but I'm not a drunk and didn't treat my kids being drunk like he did us. So now no more going forward. Researching about the bladder pacemaker. Thanks for listening all comments are good for me. Thanks and LoveRobin

Robin, your life sounds like a soap opera, I don\'t know how you do it. Here\'s some ((((((HUGS)))))) to hold you up! Beth
Robin you are not stupid. He is sick. Just remember the sickness affects the whole family. You are probably better off this Christmas. I have a 23 year old son that is an alchoholic. I know how terrrible it is to live through that. Just remember its not you. You might try some all-anon meetings. My son has been sober for over 3 years now. I owe it to AA. If you need to talk sometime, just let me know. Kelly
I\'m so sorry you are having these problems. My dad was an alcoholic until right before he died in 1987. Family problems are the hardest to deal with, at least I think so, because they are so close to our heart. I will be praying that things will get better for you and I truly hope they will. Hugs, :D
i have dealt with alcoholism most of my life fr a child with a drunk father beating, cussin ,tryin to kill..til moma divorced then later in life..i stupidly dated a few guys who turned out to b drunks ,got away fr then rather quckly but like a dumbass fell for the last 1 ,married him thought i could help him..thru rehabs n more rehabs,aa,counselin, nothing worked for him but liquor n then abuse..so hopefully n sorta happily my div will b final in jan....i feel that a drunk has about half his wits bout him so they half remember what they say do n/or just dont care who they hurt,i got to the point where i think my real hubby showed himself when he was drunk..then when he was sober he was a fake....anyway i got 1 thing to say n i will shutup i promise..lol..u r a good person,a good mom n dont let nobody tell u otherwise..they just try to get to u..i think its cause theyr hurtin inside n misery loves company..bless u gf n hang in there we all love u r here for u always take care..lov u ann
one you are not stupid your dad is and he is the one that loses out on being with a very speical daughter and grandkids. i have a dad who is gay and he told me to never call him dad but to call him by his first name. just rememeber that he is the one that loses out on seeing a speical person. i\'ll keep you in my prayers. just rememeber that god is with you and he loves you.
Sweeite, children don\'t need to experience his being drunk anyway. You might have mixed emotions about Christmas but maybe this was a blessing in disguise. He was being cruel - period! I\'m really sorry he did that to you. If you need to talk, please know I\'m here for you. Love you and big Thursday hug for you!!!! I hope you can feel better about this.
Oh Robin, I am so sorry things are that way with your dad. You are not stupid, that was very mean and hurtful. My father was an alcoholic, he could be very cruel at times. He died some time ago alone in a different state with noone there who cared for him. We didn\'t find out for weeks that he was dead. It was all very sad. Once apon a time he was a good father, I miss him still. I hope your father doesn\'t loss all that mine did. I will pray for your family, including dad.
My heart goes out to you,Cindy
My therapist told me to either \"resolve or dissolve\" and relationships in my life. It was good advice. You don\'t need \"toxic\" people in your life and it sounds like your dad is toxic. Let him go. He brings no value to your life.
Ginger0116, I agree with her totally. You have to break those ties before they hurt you anymore. There is nothing wrong with you, you are indeed not stupid, it is his burden to bare. Be well, Debbie
Reading this and getting to know you. First and foremost, you are NOT stupid. You are an amazing woman for getting where you are with all this drama in your life. IT does hurt worse when it is your family - but remember that sometimes your FRIENDS are your family. We are here to support YOU and lift you up. My parents are not alcoholics but they are very passive aggressive - when I have called them on their actions, they tell ME that I am at fault for being hypersensitive and then they go on to hide behind their religion. It is so confusing! How old do you have to be to move past this? I still feel like I\'m 12 around them!
