Hello My problems started with Dad being a alcoholic and Mom being strong enought to take care of four of us. I remember mom waking us up at 3 in the morning to go pick up dad from jail because he wreck the car again drunk. We didn't have alot but each other. School was okay most the time I did get pick on and tease being a poor family. Mom try her best but later in high school for my brothers they gave her a tough time. My aunt join a church in California and my grandma said she was brain washed and she took my aunt and her two brats and move in with us. My papa was already living with us. I was in high school and sharing a room with my mom. I resented my grandma for moving in and trying to take over. Til this day I still feel it sometimes but granny is old now and still trying to run mom's life. She's in a assistant living place and calls mom many times during the day and tells mom she put her in jail. Mom divorce dad when i was a freshman in high school. Mom got a job with TVA and things look up because mom got money to build a house and I thought we would get away from granny but the house was walking distance from the old house and granny stayed in it. The house still stands almost 30 years later and falling in with granny junk in it. Granny still try to run rveryone's life and I couldn't take it no more so after a year working at a nursing home I join the Air Force. In 1983 I met my husband now and in 1986 we got married after I got in the Air Force and station at Eglin AFB in Florida. I got pregnanat and during my pregnancy I was told I had Neurofibromatosis. It causes tumor on the nerves. At that time the dermatologist couldn't tell me much other then my baby could get it. Well I wasn't really concern and didn't worry about it much. But today its a bigger thing in my life. I guess thats it for now. More Later.

Funny, I found out about the NF after my second child was born. So many small tumors popped up, the OB doc thought it was a rash. lol. If only. My dad was also an alcoholic (is an alcoholic). He travelled a lot overseas for business, so was not home much. He was a \"functional\" alcoholic, which means he hid it well. We (the family) were the only ones who knew and we couldn\'t talk about it. So anyway, just wanted to let you know you are not alone.
