About a year ago my husband bought these shoes. My son really liked them so my husband went out and bought him a pair. Well this morning I came downstairs and there were those shoes right at the bottom of the stairs where my husband would leave his. My heart skipped a beat and then realized they are my "son's". Complete meltdown.

Doesn\'t take much does it? Last month I was reading a member\'s entry and something in it caused me to \"meltdown\" like that, too. Out of nowhere they come, for no reason. A smell, a song, a favorite food, anything can trigger those responses. Take care and remember that we\'re here for you. Joe

I am so sorry. Its just simple things like that that bring back memories and then the hurt. My son drove my dads van to my house and his dod, which now lives with me saw the van and got all excited. Thought is was dad. Meltdown

You honoured him by remembering that little detail about him. He would be smiling at you if only you could see his face, for just an instant...Angel...

There\'s always something that triggers a memory that causes us to melt down. Sometimes it can be as simple as a smell, or a song on the radio, even a laughter.
Last night my two older grandchildren stayed with me and when they do my grandoson sleeps with me in my bed. This may be a littel weird but my grandson starting to snore like Jesse use to and for just a brief moment I thought Jesse was sleeping right next to me, I just started to cry. I had to leave the room and go downstairs to sleep.
Wish I could give you a big hug and person...Wishes for peace, love, comfort and beautiful memories of your husband...Stella
