Like everyone here I am just hoping for a better New Year. I just hope that somehow I can find those tools whatever they may be to be able to walk alone without my soulmate. This lonliness is killing me. My husband was the type to all of a sudden say, Lets go for a ride, lets go to that new resteraunt, lets go shopping (not many men like to do that). Just the quietness, nothing to do each day makes the days seem like eternity. Right now I just cannot wait till night because I am able to sleep pretty well and it is just 7-8 hours that I am unaware of the pain and hurt. I am trying to find joy in things but I just cannot. Shouldn't after 5 months I be out of the "what happened?. I cannot believe this stage?. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you !!

For some people it takes a very long time to heal. Don\'t rush through your feelings of despair,that\'s part of the recovery. you should try to stay busy, that helps me so much. when I have distractions,I tend not to think so much about the pain. therapy can works wonders too! I\'ll keep you in my prayers~love, katie

I think each of us has to find their own timetable..the old rules, the old ways just dont apply anymore.

There is no time limit. It\'s been a year for me and I still have horrible, horrible days. All the things we are feeling they say, are part of the recovery process. Keeping busy is hard to do too. I believe the hurt of losing our soul mate will always hurt, that hurt will never go away. Grieving is a journey without any kind of timetable. We just have to keep taking one day at a time and put our trust in God. He will walk through this journey with us, and our husband\'s will continue to pick us up when we fall..... Prayers & Warm hugs going your way...Stella

you are in such early days sweetheart, you really are - good days will come gradually, then you will slip back - and so it will go on for a while as you adjust to this massive loss. love to you...Cathrynn X
