It's been awhile since I've given an update so I figured now would be a good time.
I graduated from high school in June after missing a year and a half of school, It was by far the most memorable even of my life thus far. I had the wonderful opportunity to give a speech and lead the procession.
Unfortunately, I am not yet starting at a 4 year university for a couple reasons actually. The first one being I did a lot of soul searching this past school year and I realized that becoming a teacher wasn't the road I wanted to go. I'm still undecided on what I want to do and I realize that is okay because I am young and I will get it. The second thing preventing me from going to a 4 year university is through my high school that I graduated from I've been gifted with a free year of college from the local community college so I am going to accept that. The last setback is the fact that my health hit the fan again but in a different way. I have a new diagnosis called Hyper Mobility syndrome. For those of you that don't know, it basically means all the ligaments in my body are mush. Which could be where the trigeminal neuralgia came from. To go along with the hyper mobility syndrome my doctors are really trying to push me to fly to several states away and get diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (even though they can almost guarantee thats whats going on its not official). To go along with all that they are very concerned with an issue involving my neck thinking that I possibly very majorly injured it at some point in the past because my vertebrae and my skull continuously hit each other when I tip my head back and I can't lean very far forward. So i'm currently in the midst of figuring all that out.
I continue to keep a positive attitude and realize that everything will be okay. I have a wonderful support system and I'm trying to still have a normal life. I have a job and I'm in the process of moving into my own apartment with my wonderful boyfriend. There are days that really suck though. My body constantly hurts one way or another or its not working the way it's supposed to so sometimes that really sucks because other people my age don't have that issue. They're ready to just go and I have to take breaks and not over do it or else I really pay for it later. But these are the cards I've been dealt so I'm going to own it!
