29 weeks today!!!

Insurance woes update.....cue drum roll.....
Well, the guy I spoke to in sales this morning was incredibly rude and eventually told me "I've told you this 3 times, now if you're not happy, get a lawyer" then hung up on me!!! I suspect this sales guy doesn't make much commission with an attitude like that.
So I called back and got put straight through to his manager who after 10 mins, sorted everything out. I get to keep the maternity cover, the bonus etc and I don't have to pay Jan + Feb so I'm 320€ better off. I have no idea if they will put the rates up but they are emailing me a new contract today and we'll see. In any case,  I have no appointments until the 11th March so I'll have nothing else to pay out until then. Just glad that there is a light at the end of this 3 day tunnel and hoping to have everything straightened out later today!!!
I called the housing dept to see if they have any news for us but the lady is not there until Monday...! Typical. I'm really not holding out much hope with this but you never know...I doubt they will have anything for us right now but hopefully they will be able to get us a bigger place after baby is here.
DH had his car serviced yesterday - 700€!!!! It's not a Rolls Royce, it's a friggin Ford Focus, for goodness sake. AND, when he got to work he discovered that the company who did the service missed half of the stuff on it but still charged him full price because it's not their fault that Ford use pink coolant instead of their blue so they are not allowed to mix.....plus the spark plugs etc. He also got 4 new tires as the others were as bald as a coot so he is at least driving safely now that the snow and ice has gone. He really was taking a huge risk driving that car over the winter but couldn't afford to change the tires.
I'm going shopping later to see if I can get my crib. I'll probably end up in BRU as when  I bought my maternity cushion a few weeks ago (which DD has now claimed as her own!!) I got a 20€ voucher so the crib I saw on sale would be 89€ - 20€ - not bad for something baby will sleep in for a couple of months only and is small enough to go in our room.  What will happen after that, I have no idea. Really, I don't want to think about it. There is no room for a full sized crib in our room and I have no idea how to fix that.
Well ladies, I'm 29 weeks today. DD and I were in hysterics last night just before bed time as baby boy was going crazy in there and we could see and feel him rolling about..
I'm just so happy that I've made it this far and that every Thursday I can check off another week that has passed uneventfully in pregnancy land. 11 weeks seems like a long way off but 77 days seems like...eh....quite soon!!! By the time I've had my 3rd trimester scan on the 25th March, that will be less than 2 months to go so that kind of scares me but I'm so impatient to meet this baby that I will just have to wait!!
An ex-work colleague had her baby last year at 31 weeks. I'm not actually sure what happened but baby is fine and has no complications. She just couldn't wait to get out!!!! Now that's actually quite a scary thing because that would be like me giving birth in 2weeks time....yikes. But I'm fairly sure that's not going to happen. DD was born a day before her due date. and there's no sign of anything untoward so here's hoping I can keep baking!!!
I start my childbirth classes on 1st March for 6 weeks and will be able to go swimming next week. Hoping to meet some nice ladies there as I am still in touch with the group of mums I met when I was PG with DD!!! We had such a laugh, most of them lived in my old street and we saw each other every day and had girls nights out etc!!! Imagine that! A NIGHT OUT!! Haven't had one of those forever......perhaps once baby is here I can have some kind of NIGHT OUT with my friends over here. I miss socializing but to be honest, if I can make it past 10pm theses days, it feels like I'm pulling an all nighter!!!
