I've offically become a bad person. Depression does this to me, I feel jaded and resentful of the people who make things more difficult to me. Tonight I found out that a coworker of my Husband's family suffered the loss of their unborn child, and instead of feeling sad for them and sympathetic, I felt horrible for HER and found no compassion in my heart for him; Instead, all I could think was "karma is a bitch." This is a guy who tried to start trouble for my DH at work, he acted like his friend and then used things against him behind his back, generally just being a complete jerk AND making things more difficult for DH and I, since we're still adjusting to this new place. How awful is that? I hate this. Depression always does this to me, I lose all my compassion for the people who make things needlessly more difficult for me.

You can\'t control your first thoughts on a topic! Goodness knows,we\'ve all had thoughts we were ashamed of! Thoughts we wish we were big enough not to have. Thoughts that sneak up on us. It is the human condition,so welcome to the race! :) The human race, that is! We are not our thoughts... and you are not a bad person because you reacted out of defense of DH (who\'s DH?).... My wish for you...? That you will treat yourself with kindness and forgiveness...
Gentle Hugs...Donna
We all have unkind thoughts at times, see people through a filter of how they affect ourselves or our loved ones. The difference between a \"good\" person and a \"bad\" one is how they deal with those feelings. A bad person would have thought nothing of thinking \"karma is a bitch\" and might even have said it out loud. You didn\'t, and you even feel bad about the thought, so you are obviosuly not one of the \"bad ones\".
