28 weeks
I had my 28 week appt, everything seems to be going well. I measured right on target, gained about 5 more lbs. My OB suggested that I start "kick counts." Countless babies have been saved when mothers did this on a daily basis. He said that he has saved about 37 babies this way in his years of practice. Every evening at about the same time, I just have to count 10 kicks/movements and we want those to be within an hour. If not, I try again and if baby still doens't have 10 movements in an hour we head to triage. This is a proven way to tell if baby is ok. I am excited to do this, it really reassures me. I went yesterday to have b/w done including the glucose screening test. I hope that I "pass" everything... I don't want to do the 3 hour one! I am getting big, but loving it! Lately my bladder has felt better and same with my tummy! YAY! Sleeping is kinda funny, I pretty much have to wrestle with my snuggie pillow etc to get comfy- poor hubby. My shower is in 2 weeks and we are getting carpeting in the nursery on Monday. SO exciting!!!!!!! 12 weeks to go- I am so ecstatic and NEVER take this blessing for granted.

I\'m so happy that things are going so well for you!!! The wrestling with your snuggie pillow is so funny...I do the same thing! My DH always says \"oh no, here comes the grunting\" as I climb into bed and begin my wrestling match. It helps me sleep though.
My OB didn\'t tell me anything about the kick counting but I have heard of it before. Mine just told me that if I ever get to dinner time and have not felt the baby move to immediately go to Labor and Delivery. He said it\'s always better to be safe than sorry. I think I might try the kick counting thing though. It sounds like a good idea!
I hope you and your DH have a Merry Christmas. Just think, this is your last one as just a couple!!!
